How are you? Good... Ok... Fine...
Obviously, sometimes it's just an automatic question, a greeting.
The other person may not have the time or even an interest in knowing how we are actually doing. In addition, we may not want to tell everyone we meet in a day how we are feeling.
But what happens when we meet someone we love and who is important in our life? This person asks us how we are doing, we can take advantage of this innocuous and redundant question to express ourselves, open up and reveal ourselves. It's an opportunity to create intimacy and to dare to be more vulnerable, more real.
But then again you have to know what to answer to this famous question. Before you even answer someone else do you know how you are doing? Do you take the time to take your emotional temperature or do you realize your condition only in the extremes?
How are you? Fine ... Okay ... It's okay.
These are automatic responses. If we look for more, we might get answers like: in a good mood, tired, irritated.
Take three deep breaths and answer yourself.
Did you find more interesting variations? Did you know how you are doing?
