The decision to buy something is up to you. I link these products as a suggestion. The story behind the creation of this advent calendar project can be found here . Here is a list of 24 small gifts under $10 that can be given in Christmas stockings, in a scavenger hunt, in gift bags, as part of a countdown of some kind, or in my case, they are the small surprises that were in the drawers of the advent calendars I made for Christmas 2020. When I gave the three calendars away, for me the project was over and done with. I could not imagine the gift I would receive in return during the month of December. Without expecting it, I experienced the unveiling! Every day, I got pictures, calls, and messages of surprise and gratitude. Giving a handmade advent calendar is a gift that endlessly gives. A very special thank you to my fri...

Advent Calendar

In the summer of 2020, while chatting with colleagues about my upcoming 50th birthday, I figured out that on September 1st, I would be 50 days away from that day. I started to prepare for a 50-day countdown. Every day, I prepared and published a life lesson article.  It was an exercise in writing, sharing, introspection, and perseverance. I enjoyed this challenge and when I celebrated my birthday I wondered what I was going to do now.  Little brainstorm with me and myself, I thought about my daughter's birthday which is in January. I did some research for ideas and concluded that I would make an advent calendar. A small cabinet of 24 drawers that can be used for storage, or to be used from year to year for the adoption of a new tradition. And as long as making one for my daughter, I might as well make one for my mother and another for a friend. With the pandemic, we socialize less, which does not mean that we do not think of those we love. So I created these calendars with lov...

50-day countdown

Last week I began a countdown: 50 days to my 50th birthday.   Follow me on Facebook or Instagram to see what it's all about.   It is my gift to myself: Every day I share my life lessons and well as try to adopt new morning and evening routines. Oh! And learning and trying does not make me an expert. I’m such a human… Far from perfect but more than okk.

How are you?

How are you? Good... Ok... Fine...   Obviously, sometimes it's just an automatic question, a greeting.   The other person may not have the time or even an interest in knowing how we are actually doing.  In addition, we may not want to tell everyone we meet in a day how we are feeling.       But what happens when we meet someone we love and who is important in our life? This person asks us how we are doing, we can take advantage of this innocuous and redundant question to express ourselves, open up and reveal ourselves. It's an opportunity to create intimacy and to dare to be more vulnerable, more real.         But then again you have to know what to answer to this famous question. Before you even answer someone else do you know how you are doing? Do you take the time to take your emotional temperature or do you realize your condition only in the extremes?       How are you? Fine ... Okay ... It's okay.   These are aut...

Why?

I am curious; I want to know and understand everything. I ask thought-provoking  questions . I have already been labelled an agent of change.   Also, I am an expert in the irrelevant.   Meeting me is a moment filled with a mixture of super deep or completely wacky conversations.     My truth is based on what I know now. Striving to evolve, it will surely be different tomorrow.       By speaking to you, I speak to myself, I invent and create  myself . It is the nature of the creature.   We are all human and therefore worthy ... of being, of love, and of beauty.   Like you, I am also more than  okk .
